Tahrir was busy on Friday, maybe around 20.000 people, but nowhere near as busy as it was back in January 2011.
After a while it turned violent and the riot police started doing charges. I got stuck behind the police line, so I got to see it from the other side. Officers were very surprised to find me there when they came running back.
Meanwhile, riot kids in my street are still up to all kinds of mayhem, attempting to set fire to a school and throwing rocks and fireworks at the police.
The riot police at some point attempted to disperse them with water. It didn't really work.
More photos here.
